God’s Approval

God’s Approval: ”
Beloved, Grace and Peace be unto you, from God our Father and from the LORD Jesus Christ. I pray that your Sunday was awesome, and your worship fulfilling. Beloved I am finding that so many times, success eludes us. Success eludes us not because we are not trying, but because we do not know what is essential to be successful and to get the approval from God that we have done well. Let’s take a look at this text as it helps us deal with approval form God.

Rom. 2:13 For it is not merely knowing the law that brings God’s approval. Those who obey the law will be declared right in God’s sight.

Paul tells us that we many times major on the wrong aspect of what we need to succeed. Certainly, knowing the law is important. Knowing the word of God is paramount, but there is something more important than knowing the word of God. The thing that is more important than knowing the word of God is applying the word of God. If we do not obey the word of God, purposefully apply the word of God to our lives, then success is not ours, nor is the approval from God that we all long for. There is a difference between having knowledge and having wisdom. Knowledge is the assembling of understanding. Getting understanding is important, but having the understanding is not enough. Having the knowledge available makes you no different than a library.
Wisdom is the application of knowledge. A man can be knowledgeable and broke. He can be knowledgeable and unhealthy. He can be knowledgeable and lonely. He can be knowledgeable, in church and yet not living a victorious life. When you apply the knowledge, that is where wisdom comes in. Knowing that tithing will open the windows of heaven is not what allows you to experience the blessing. Knowing that exercise well help you stay healthy does not keep you healthy. Knowing that you need to build relationships, be friendly, nice and personable, does not keep you from being lonely. Being in the church, knowing all that the word of God has to say about your life does not make you successful. Beloved, wisdom is the application of knowledge. We must apply what we learn from the law. Apply the word of God. A library contains a lot of knowledge. No one can ever rightly call a library wise. With all its knowledge, there is no way to apply it. You must apply the knowledge of God, and his word to your life. According to Paul, only when you obey the word, will you be declared right. Then will you have the approval of God. Apply God’s word, and gain the approval of God. Here’s a challenge, determine something in your life that you would like improvement in. Find out what the word of God says about it. Consult your Pastor, get all the knowledge you can about it from God’s perspective. Then apply it. This will cause you to take stock in some things. Some of us will have to invest some money, definitely time, but approval and success belongs to those who will apply the word of God. Try it!!!!
